Safety Intern

Are you a current student or recent graduate (Spring 2024 or later)? Are you looking to gain experience in the workplace and are interested in working in an industrial manufacturing setting? This may be a good fit for you! We are looking to hire a (paid) Safety Intern for this summer and are specifically looking for someone who is interested in learning more about the health, safety, and environmental functions within our workplace and wants to gain hands on experience in addition to their educational experience.

SUMMARY: As a Safety Intern, you will support the HSE department in promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Under the supervision of HSE professionals, you will assist in implementing health and safety programs, conducting audits and inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and helping to foster a culture of safety across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to the following.

WHO WE ARE: Formed in 1848, Hussey Copper supplied copper to the growing nation of makers and builders. From the start, we produced copper products based on a solid engineering background. As our expertise grew, the company expanded to offer sheet, strip, plate, and bar products, along with casting, rolling, annealing, extrusion, and finishing processes. Today, our products are used across a variety of industries, including data centers, electric vehicles and infrastructure, healthcare, and renewable energy.

There is a possibility of full-time employment after successful completion of the internship, and we will compensate either in credits or by pay.
