Position Summary
Alvah Group is seeking a Data Analyst & Administrator to join our Safety team to strengthen our proactive safety culture. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Safety and support the following goals:
•Proactively Identify Safety Trends & Leading Indicators Analyze and visualize data from across the company to identify risk patterns before incidents occur.
•Support Data-Driven Safety Decisions Deliver easy-to-read dashboards and reports to guide leadership, field managers, and executive teams.
•Improve Subcontractor & Internal Accountability Track and compare performance between internal crews and subcontractors to ensure expectations are met.
•Streamline Safety Data Collection Consolidate data from tailboards, audits, observations, incidents, and training into centralized tracking tools.
By converting raw data into actionable insights, this position will enable leadership to identify trends, target high-risk areas, and drive strategic safety interventions across all business units.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, and visualizing safety data across Alvah Group and its subcontractors —
•Collect and organize data from safety observations, tailboards, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
•Develop and maintain interactive dashboards to visualize leading and lagging safety indicators.
•Support trend analysis to detect emerging risks and develop early intervention strategies.
•Collaborate with field safety professionals and operations teams to ensure quality and consistency of data inputs.
•Assist in developing KPI reports for executive leadership, safety meetings, and client reporting.
•Monitor compliance with required submissions (e.g., daily tailboards, observations, corrective action completion).
•Support monthly subcontractor safety scorecards and benchmarking.
•Provide recommendations to leadership based on trend insights and predictive models.
Qualifications
Required:
•High proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, formulas, tables, and pivot tables)
•Ability to quickly learn and understand safety data points: observations, incidents, tailboards, and corrective actions
•Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
•Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
•Ability to collaborate with both field teams and executive leadership
Preferred:
•Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
•Familiarity with platforms such as ISNetworld, Monday.com, or EHS software systems
•Experience in utility, construction, or safety-related environments
•Knowledge of OSHA reporting and leading/lagging indicator strategies
•Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Safety, Business Intelligence, or related field
