Position Summary
The Health and Safety Support Analyst at Townsend Company, LLC will be instrumental in supporting the company’s health and safety initiatives. This role will focus on collecting, sorting, and analyzing health and safety data, with an emphasis on driving/motor carrier safety. The analyst will provide essential insights to improve safety protocols, assist in coordinating training logistics, and represent the safety team at the company headquarters. Collaboration with safety professionals, coordinators, and other analysts will be key to ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities
Essential Functions:
Driving/Motor Carrier Safety Analysis
•Collect and analyze data related to driving and motor carrier safety, identifying trends and potential risks
Training Session Logistics and Support
•Support the planning and execution of safety training sessions by analyzing past attendance, feedback, and effectiveness.
•Assist in organizing training logistics, including scheduling and preparing materials
•Provide data-driven insights to improve the effectiveness of training programs
Company Safety Representation
•Represent the safety department at the company headquarters by providing analytical reports on safety metrics and performance
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety protocols are integrated into company operations and strategies
•Support safety-related meetings and present relevant data findings to leadership
Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
•Collect and organize a variety of health and safety data, including incident reports, near misses, compliance audits, etc
•Analyze safety data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Team Support
•Collaborate with safety support professionals, coordinators, and analysts to achieve departmental goals
•Assist team members in interpreting and using data to inform safety strategies
•Support the team in meeting departmental goals through collaborative problem solving
Regulatory Compliance Support
•Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations
•Analyze results from risk assessments and safety audits and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Continuous Improvement
•Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in health and safety.
•Contribute to the development and enhancement of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
•Support initiatives aimed at improving the company’s safety culture.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
•Knowledge of OSHA regulations and basic understanding of motor carrier safety
•Strong organizational and communication skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data management and reporting
•Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
•Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
•Ability to solve problems
•Meet all physical requirements of the position
•Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
•18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
•Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
•Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
•Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a data analysis or health and safety role
•Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications
•Familiarity with ASC Z133 standards
•Previous experience in the utility or tree care industry
