About Us: Talen Energy is inviting enthusiastic candidates to apply for our 2026 High School Co-op at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station. As one of the largest dual-unit, Boiling Water Reactor sites in the U.S., the Susquehanna Station generates approximately 2700 MW of electricity, powering the Northeastern Pennsylvania grid. Co-op Overview: The Talen Energy Co-op is a part-time work-study program designed to provide high school students with hands-on experience in both power plant operations and office settings. This program is ideal for students looking to explore potential career paths in Nuclear Power.

As a Talen Energy Co-op, You Will:

- Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals through special projects.

- Gain insight into Nuclear Power Plant Operations

Basic Qualifications:

- Enrolled in local high school.

- Available to perform part-time work on weekends.

- Basic computer skills to enter data and receive job assignments.

- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of employment and able to provide an official transcript and other required documentation.

- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

- Eligible to work in the U.S. in accordance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Enrolled in advanced placement STEM courses.

- Passion for learning and contributing to a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
