Your contribution!
As a wind energy resource analyst, you will perform wind resource estimates for projects under development and potential project acquisitions.
Your day-to-day!
- Conduct long-term assessments of wind resources
- Perform uncertainty analyses and determine the probabilities of excess
- Ensure the collection and quality control of wind measurements
- Manage wind resource consultants as needed
- Participation in the preliminary design of wind farms, taking into account identified constraints
- Ability to work on solar production assessments
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, or a combination of relevant training and experience
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology, physics, engineering, or any other relevant field
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment with evolving requirements
- Excellent summarizing and writing skills
- Organizational skills, proactivity, rigor, and logic
- Ability to work independently and strong team spirit and collaboration skills
- Great curiosity and desire to learn
- Proficiency in Windographer/OpenWind/WindPro/WAsP/MeteoDyn software
- Knowledge of mapping software such as Global Mapper or ArcGIS is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis
- The position is based at the company's head office in Longueuil, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
- Valid driver's license.
- This position is a P2 level.
