Energy Analyst

Enkon Energy Advisors is an advisory firm with expertise spanning all aspects of the energy sector including Crude Oil, Natural Gas, LNG, and Natural Gas Liquids, with experience in North American and international markets. Enkon provides advisory services and products to meet our client business needs (strategic, commercial, transactional, operational), advance client projects, and provide business solutions.

What you will do:

As an Energy Analyst at Enkon, you will play a key role in researching, developing, maintaining, and expanding our energy-related databases, which are essential for ongoing business analysis. You will transform data into insightful business recommendations and solutions, directly contributing to the advisory products and services we deliver to our clients.

Specific responsibilities include

:

·        Conduct focused market research to gather and analyze industry data.

·        Develop and maintain databases and statistical models relating to NGL, crude oil, natural gas, and renewables (covering supply, demand, infrastructure, and pricing).

·        Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, quantify movements, recommend strategic business solutions, and effectively communicate findings.

·        Create client-ready deliverables, including Findings Reports, PowerPoint presentation decks, and Excel spreadsheets, working independently and as part of collaborative project teams.

·        Present analytical findings to managers and clients.

Required Competencies:

- Strong Analytical Skills & Data Proficiency:

Guided by business curiosity, has ability to identify, collect, clean, validate, and interpret relevant business data while ensuring data integrity across multiple sources.

- Data Modeling

: Able to construct and utilize data models understanding mathematical applications and logical reasoning (coding experience is a plus but not required).

- Excel Expertise:

Proficient with advanced Excel functions (data analysis tools, pivot tables, macros, etc.).

- PowerPoint Expertise:

Proficient with advanced PowerPoint skills including design, technical skills (e.g., layouts, charts, graphs), and the ability to tell a compelling story through slides.

- Communication Skills:

Clear and effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex business concepts into easily understandable reports and articles.

- Organizational Excellence:

Ability to maintain high organization standards in data management, workflow processes, and record keeping.

- Adaptability:

Managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities as needed in a fast-paced environment.

- Teamwork & Independence:

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in business-related fields of study (i.e., Business, Economics, Mathematics, Operations, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent work experience. A master’s degree a plus. Expert or proficient at Microsoft Excel and powerpoint.

·      0-3 yrs of industry experience
