We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated Rental Sales Representative to grow our portable generator rental business. In this role, you’ll build lasting relationships, identify new opportunities, and deliver reliable power solutions to a wide range of industries. You’ll be the face of Clifford Power Systems in your territory—helping customers keep their operations running when it matters most.

- Drive growth by developing and managing a pipeline of new and existing customers within your assigned territory.
- Build partnerships with customers by understanding their power needs and providing the right rental solutions—from small portable units to large-scale industrial generators and electrical distribution equipment.
- Collaborate closely with rental coordinators and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Own the sales process from initial contact to close, maintaining regular communication and follow-up to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Utilize CRM tools to track leads, quotes, and customer activity—using data to identify opportunities and improve performance.
- Represent the Clifford Power brand at industry events, job sites, and customer meetings.

- Knowledge: Understanding of diesel or gas-powered generators, electrical systems, or mechanical equipment preferred.
- Skills: Confident communicator, proactive problem-solver, and strategic thinker with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Tech savvy: Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and digital sales tools to stay organized and efficient.
- Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

This position will be working primarily indoors or outdoors in a climate-controlled, smoke-free environment, but also requires the employee to be moving through other areas on a regular basis. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures from these areas. Normal auto and air travel hazards will apply. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be higher in other areas.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, computer equipment and peripherals; and bending, reaching, and crouching.
Must have command of sight, hearing, touch and smell. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
