This role is ideal for someone who understands the steel industry and is ready to sell value-added products such as precision-cut steel blanks, leveled sheets, slit and master coils. You’ll manage existing accounts, develop new business, and represent Raco Steel with professionalism and deep product knowledge.

Based in South Suburban Chicago, we serve a broad range of manufacturing companies nationwide with high-quality flat rolled steel products. We work closely with the nation’s top steel mills and are known for reliability, precision, and exceptional service.

As we grow, we’re looking for a knowledgeable and driven Sales Representative with experience in the steel industry — preferably working with flat-rolled products.

What You'll Do:

- Prospect and develop new customer relationships

- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate steel products

- Quote pricing, negotiate terms, and prepare accurate orders

- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to ensure order accuracy and delivery

- Maintain detailed CRM records and sales activity reports

- Work closely with the VP of Sales to implement strategies for target markets

- Participate in on-site customer meetings and relationship development

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of sales experience in the steel industry (flat-rolled preferred)

- Strong knowledge of steel specifications and processing

- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

- High attention to detail and organizational ability

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems

- Motivated, collaborative, and customer-focused

- Competitive Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, plus potential discretionary year-end bonus of up to 20% based on company's profitability and your evaluated performance during year.
