Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, a Sales Representative is responsible for revenue generation by bringing in new business opportunities and maintaining existing business. In addition, the Sales Representative is responsible in gaining and maintaining new lube, oil, chemical, bulk fuel and propane business.
- Prospects for new business.
- Maintains relationships with current customer base to increase business.
- Submits detailed credit applications and other related paperwork.
- Works with credit department to supply additional documentation as requested.
- Tracks sales numbers to ensure gallons are increased on a yearly basis.
- Accepts calls of prospects inquiring about fuel, oil, chemicals etc.
- Maintains and supplies personal vehicle in order to visit current customers and prospects.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Must maintain a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Must be a self-motivator.

- Ability to prospect (cold call) for new customers.
- Follow-up on sales leads.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Development preferred.
- Prior field sales experience required.
- Experience in commercial agricultural, industrial or construction industries preferred.
- Experience in lube, oil, chemical, bulk fuel sales is a plus.
- Experience with MS Office Suite preferred.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely.
- Ability to work on computer/tablet 6+ hours a day,- Ability to navigate stairs and walking on a daily basis.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Extreme temperatures may be experienced when meeting prospects in the field (hot in summer; cold in winter).
