Ready Mix Mechanic - Harriman, TN

Job Description

The applicant must have a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair a wide range of service issues that affect major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling and electrical systems, as well as other systems generally encountered in the industry.

- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence and able to perform all duties under DOT regulations & company safety policies and practices.

- Minimum of three years of experience working on Ready-Mix type equipment and on-road trucks.

- Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.

- Perform routine scheduled maintenance on equipment and trucks.

- Perform “on-site” and “in-field” maintenance and repairs on equipment, when needed.

- Complete maintenance and work order repair records.

- Be able to weld and fabricate, as needed.

- Heavy equipment parts familiarization including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost of heavy equipment parts.

- Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.

- Ability to operate mobile equipment.

- Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.

- Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.

- Weekend work/overtime may be required.

- Experience performing DOT Annual Inspections preferred.

- Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist and lift 70lbs.

- Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 20 feet.

- Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.

- Able to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.

- A valid Class B CDL is a plus but not required. A valid DOT Medical Card is required.
