What You’ll Do

As an R&D Chemist Intern, you will gain lab experience manufacturing and testing emulsions while working with our R&D team at Dyno Nobel’s state-of-the-art laboratory facility in Tooele, Utah. You will complete a variety of projects aimed at maintaining Dyno Nobel’s competitive advantage in the field of mining explosives. Duties will include:

- Perform lab-scale emulsion manufacture.

- Perform analyses required by the R&D team.

- Perform all routine quality control tests on all produced materials.

- Use synthetic, analytical, and material science skills to solve real-world problems.

- Plan, execute and report on experimental activities.

- Observe detonation testing experiments on products YOU produced!

- Provide document control support for all operations

- Junior level standing pursuing bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or related field

About your internship

Duration: 10 – 12 weeks

Pay: $24.00 an hour

- Gain hands on working experience to demonstrate your educational skills and gain industry knowledge.

- Ability to collaborate and generate new ideas within the team

- Provide engineering knowledge in order to define your skill set
