Overview:

Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) offers internship and co-op opportunities to high-performing college students who want meaningful hands-on experiences in their fields of study. Responsibilities:

The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will work to provide analytical, research, process optimization, data analysis, and environmental support to various business units throughout Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its affiliates. The intern will support these activities through special project work, day-to-day laboratory and field activities, and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies (i.e. gas chromatography, wet chemistry, x-ray, data analytics, etc.). The special project work may meet the student’s capstone requirement.

Qualifications:

- Enrollment in a degree seeking program majoring in science or a related field is required; Chemistry major preferred (undergraduate or graduate studies)

- Strong academic performance

- Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program.

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is preferred.

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.

- A valid driver's license is required.
