Quality Technician 1st Shift 6a-4:30p M-Th

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join our team on first shift, working from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime on Fridays. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001. This position involves performing quality inspections, audits, and data analysis to uphold the highest standards of manufacturing excellence. The successful applicant will possess strong analytical skills and proficiency with precision measuring instruments and vision inspection systems to support quality assurance initiatives across our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate would have experience in a fabrication environment.

Skills and Abilities

- Perform quality inspections on the shop floor, interpreting Engineering drawings

- Execute in-process and final audit inspections prior to shipment.

- Inspect parts for quality standards and specialty items such as purchased parts for production at the receiving stage

- Record and complete QC documentation requirements

- Review documentation received for compliance with procedures and specifications

- Ability to train others on inspection processes and equipment when required

- Maintain ISO 9000: 2015 required document records of work performed

- May be asked to operate machine in down time.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 documentation a plus.

- Ability to use and read Tape Measure, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, pin gages, height gage, and other mechanical measuring equipment.

- Thorough knowledge of fabrication processes, shop standards, and materials

- Ability to read and interpret drawings to understand customer specifications

Pay: $25.00 per hour
