Assurance Manufacturing is an employee-owned precision sheet metal fabrication, stamping, machining, and assembly company that operates in a modern manufacturing facility. We are looking for a Quality Set Up and Final Inspector on our 1st shift in our Coon Rapids facility.

Quality Set-Up and Final Inspector Responsibilities:
•Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production quality standards and tolerance limits.
•Balloons drawings and creates inspection spreadsheets. Review new routings and BOMs for accuracy to customer requirements.
•Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications.
•Properly apply GD&T to parts.
•Prepare and review FAIs, PPAPs, and other required quality documentation for reporting to customers.
•Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, red tags, nonconformance reports, etc. as required by the Quality Management System.
•Troubleshoot print and bill of materials problems.
•Test or inspect finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, blast profile and appearance.
•Run measurement programs on CMM as required.
•Calibrate measurement equipment per procedure as needed.
•Identify and record non-conforming product. Set the example for following the Control of Nonconforming Product Procedure.
•Aid production in troubleshooting process or product quality issues.
•Perform performance tests including hardness testing, edge testing, roughness testing, etc.
•Communicate relevant or potential quality issues with the Production and Quality Managers.
•Ability to work in other departments as needed to meet production demands.
•Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures per standard 5S practices.
•Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
•Other duties as assigned.
Quality Set-Up and Final Inspector Qualifications:
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and safety regulations. Ability to balloon drawings and write routine reports and documentation. Ability to effectively present information to customers and other employees of the organization.
•Requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment to include precision digital height gages, CMMs, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, eddy current meters, squares, hardness testers, measuring tape, profile gauge, and various other precision measuring devices.
•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, bend allowances, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry & GD&T.
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
•Understanding of the Assurance Manufacturing Quality Policy and Objectives
•Knowledge of inspection methods and Quality Core Tools (Control Plans, FMEAs, Etc.)
•Understanding of sampling plans
•Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and team work skills
•Intermediate Computer Skills Including Excel (Ballooning Software Experience a plus)
•Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
