Works quickly and effectively to ensure that the parts produced conform to print specifications and that employees understand basic quality principles and methods. Primary focus is to determine if a part is acceptable or should be rejected.
III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (essential and other functions):
1. Physically checks parts (both lab and floor inspections) using measurement instruments to ensure parts conform to print specifications.
2. Offers guidance and instruction to press room employees on producing quality parts, interpreting blue prints, and how to use measuring instruments. Helps employees solve quality problems.
3. Informs supervisors immediately of problems, concerns, or questions related to part quality or other production issues.
4. Follows special job instructions, as communicated by supervisor, or on job card.
5. Takes appropriate actions to promote and maintain a safe and quality-focused work environment, including keeping work area clean and free of hazards.
8. Other duties as assigned to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Ability to read, speak, and understand sufficient English as required to interpret job cards, prints, and communication with other employees.
Able and willing to wear all required PPE
1. Fast paced, job shop and fabrication business.
