We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector who is a qualified and skilled in Aerospace Manufacturing to inspect and record in-process, final, first piece and first article production of manufactured goods using inspection tools and techniques.
1st shift only: Monday-Thursday 6am - 4:30pm (10h)
Friday overtime as needed, 6am-12pm (6h OT) or 6am-4:30pm (10h OT)
Responsibilities:
•Performs inspections, including in-process, final, first piece and first article inspections of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings and workmanship standards.
•Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gages, bore gauges, and dial indictors. CMM and/or Power Inspect knowledge a plus.
•Acts as customer liaison for Source inspection activities.
•Creates and maintains PPAP and FMEA.
•Assists Engineering and Operations in the investigation of non-conformities.
•Good manual dexterity and adept in use of precision measuring tools.
•Follows standard operating procedures and other standard inspection criteria
•Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
•Previous quality control work experience (>/= 3 years) in the aerospace field
•Extensive computer skills (i.e. excel/word) and ability to navigate customer portals.
•Knowledge of Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100
•Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
•Strong attention to detail
•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•This is not an entry level position
