We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector who is a qualified and skilled in Aerospace Manufacturing to inspect and record in-process, final, first piece and first article production of manufactured goods using inspection tools and techniques.
1st shift only: Monday-Thursday 6am - 4:30pm (10h)
Friday overtime as needed, 6am-12pm (6h OT) or 6am-4:30pm (10h OT)
Responsibilities:
•
Performs inspections, including in-process, final, first piece and first article inspections of parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings and workmanship standards.
•
Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gages, bore gauges, and dial indictors. CMM and/or Power Inspect knowledge a plus.
•
Acts as customer liaison for Source inspection activities.
•
DQR experience a PLUS!!
•
Creates and maintains PPAP and FMEA.
•
Assists Engineering and Operations in the investigation of non-conformities.
•
Good manual dexterity and adept in use of precision measuring tools.
•
Follows standard operating procedures and other standard inspection criteria
•
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
•
Previous quality control work experience (>/= 3 years) in the aerospace field
•
Extensive computer skills (i.e. excel/word) and ability to navigate customer portals.
•
Knowledge of Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100
•
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T)
•
Strong attention to detail
•
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•
This is not an entry level position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
