The Inspector will be responsible for conducting and organizing inspections carried out in the Mobile, AL facility.
Job Responsibilities
•Carry out inspection with minimum supervision and assist others
•Coordinate with workshop and supervisors for conducting inspections
•Complete standard inspection templates and verify part conformance in relation to drawings and part specifications.
•Define the most suitable tools required for optimal inspection of critical dimensions with standard shop instruments
•Provide proposal for new inspection techniques and equipment
•Receipt inspection of parts from suppliers
•Input and follow up on non-conformances through NCR process
•Work with teams to maintain calibrated equipment.
•Perform NDE (Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic thickness, Hardness)
•Perform and learn other workshop functions as the business requires
•Attend and give input in production meetings
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
•Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
•Demonstrated knowledge of metrological tools
•Excellent organization and follow-up skills
•Excellent customer service skills and attitude
•Understands and efficiently uses computers
•Capabilities to read, write and comprehend English
•Ability to stand 8+ hours per day
•Ability to bend, stoop, crouch when needed
•Ability to frequently lift, carry and position objects up to 50 pounds
•NDE certifications (LP, MT, UT(T))
•Ability to read schematic and layout drawings
Desired Characteristics
•5 years of relevant experience
•Able to execute confined space work (pipe inspection)
•Experience with Offshore Drilling Equipment

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
