We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team and help maintain the superior standards our customers rely on.
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for inspecting materials, identifying defects, and maintaining compliance with internal and customer specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with precision measurement tools and CMM programming/operation.
- Dimensional Accuracy: Inspect parts after washing to ensure cleanliness and dimensional accuracy.
- Supply Chain Quality: Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing parts to and from suppliers.
- Process Compliance: Review and assess products using the E.J. Basler Inspection Process (EJIP) and customer-specific inspection plans.
- Reporting: Identify and report non-conforming products to the Shift Supervisor, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Containment: Document and contain defective products, placing them on hold as needed.
- Mentorship: Guide and instruct employees on sorting or rework procedures when necessary.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, height gauges, weigh scales, drop test equipment, vertical load testers, density meters, and microscopes.
- Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation and programming.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using micrometers, gauges, Oasis, Comparator, height gauges, and microscopes.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow complex inspection procedures.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Math Skills: Ability to work with decimals, ratios, and percentages.
- Ability to visually inspect products and read detailed reports.
- Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Exposure to loud machinery, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, and fumes.
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
