The Quality and Inventory Control Specialist ensures the integrity of product quality and inventory accuracy within the manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing materials and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and managing inventory processes to support production efficiency and accuracy.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Conduct routine quality audits on manufacturing processes and provide feedback to production teams.
- Document and report non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain and update quality control documentation, checklists, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and inventory management systems.
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and production departments to ensure proper inventory flow.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and tracked throughout the facility.
- Assist in inventory reporting and forecasting to support production planning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in MRP systems.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, manufacturing, or quality-related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably with quality or inventory control responsibilities.- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) and inventory control systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and performing inspections for extended periods.
