Inventory Control Specialist

Position Summary:

The Inventory Specialist ensures accurate, organized inventory to support smooth production at the Knotwood manufacturing plant. This role manages receiving, verification, and recordkeeping in Jerry, while coordinating with warehouse and production teams to maintain material accuracy and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Verification:

· Receive and inspect incoming materials and products to confirm accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation.

· Verify quantities, material types, and conditions upon arrival.

· Label and stage materials for approval before warehouse storage or production use.

Inventory Management:

· Maintain and update all inventory records accurately in Jerry.

· Track material usage and reconcile inventory counts regularly to ensure data accuracy.

· Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and cycle counts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

· Organize and manage small parts inventory

· Work closely with the Production Coordinator to ensure inventory levels support production schedules.

Warehouse Coordination:

· Communicate material status to the warehouse and production teams

· Support efficient storage organization to optimize space and accessibility.

· Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and handling of materials.

· Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.

System & Documentation:

· Accurately input data into the Jerry inventory management system.

· Maintain organized and complete records of receipts, adjustments, transfers, and usage reports.

· Collaborate with Purchasing to help monitor reorder points and material needs.

Safety & Equipment:

· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently

· Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

· 2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).

· Forklift certification required

· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.

· Proficient with inventory management systems

· Ability to work collaboratively with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams.

· Basic computer proficiency (Excel, data entry, and reporting).

Preferred Skills:

· Experience in aluminum or manufacturing industries.

· Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $46,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
