Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary

This Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring inventory of raw materials, work in process (materials) and finished inventory, performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Duties also include miscellaneous storage/stockroom activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts, transfers, and issues.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.

- Cycle count raw materials and work in process and finished inventory on a daily basis per schedule.

- Report variances between system and actual counts.

- Work with management, production supervisors and leads to improve inventory accuracy.

- Utilize ERP/Microsoft software to process cycle counts, review on-hand inventory, current activity, and past activity.

- Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.

- Assures that receiving counts match purchase orders and packing slip documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies. Distributes all receiving paperwork to the applicable authorities.

- Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to your designated supervisor.

- All other tasks requested by production management and/or necessary to provide our customer high quality, low cost, 100% on-time and accurate product deliveries.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and conform to all quality and safety procedures.

- Maintain neat, clean and orderly warehouse appearance.

- Ability to work 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday thru Friday)

- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures and guidelines.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility.

- Regularly operate a computer, computer accessories and phone equipment.

- Required to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and able to stoop, kneel or reach, when needed.

- Valid Ohio Driver’s License required.

- Forklift experience preferred.

- Inventory control: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
