Morrill Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of precision irrigation and filtration products, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support our manufacturing operations in Escalon, CA. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, components, and services necessary for production, while maintaining cost effectiveness and supplier reliability.
- Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO supplies.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability.
- Track order status and expedite shipments when necessary to meet production deadlines.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information in ERP system.
- Assist in vendor qualification and evaluation processes.
- Resolve order discrepancies, invoice issues, and non-conformance matters with vendors.
- Support inventory control and planning functions as needed.
- Participate in cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.· Ability to interpret technical documents such as bills of materials (BOMs) and part drawings.
· Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving.
· Office located within an active manufacturing facility.
· Occasional work in warehouse or production areas.
· Standard hours with some flexibility as production needs require.
- Hourly Pay: $24 - $30 (Based on Experience)
