Propane Delivery Dispatcher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Propane Delivery Dispatcher to join our team. The dispatcher is at the core of the operation, responsible for managing the flow of delivery requests and assigning them to drivers. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

- Receive and process propane delivery orders.

- Schedule and assign deliveries to drivers based on factors such as location, delivery frequency, and urgency.

- Monitor driver routes and progress using tracking software.

- Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to deliveries.

- Communicate with drivers, customer service, and other departments to ensure seamless operation.

- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, customer interactions, driver activity, and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Adapt to changes in workload due to weather, road conditions, and other external factors.

- Provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management is preferred.

- Knowledge of GPS technology and its application in logistics is beneficial.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.

- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

- Experience with dispatching software or tools related to transportation management is highly desirable. Familiarity with Ignite/Blue Cow operating software is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
