The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading a team of Mosaic professionals to complete projects on time, on budget, and within a defined scope to meet the client’s stated business objectives. The PM, in partnership with the other project leadership, is ultimately responsible for the quality of all deliverables. The PM is responsible for providing oversight and direction to the team, as well as ensuring that the team has access to appropriate tools and resources (Mosaic and client) to successfully complete the defined scope of work. The PM partners with other project leadership as the primary day-to-day contact with the client, including facilitation of client project status meetings, project controls management and reporting, and identification and mitigation of risks and issues. Over the course of a project, the Project Manager interacts with Mosaic and client team members and client leadership, consults with various stakeholders to make recommendations and decisions, and monitors project health. The PM is accountable to the Senior Manager, Client Delivery who has oversight for the client and project.

- Partners with Strategic Advisor to increase business acumen and understand client’s business operations to identify problems and drive effective solutions. Communicates Mosaic’s value to positively impact client’s operational success.
- Partners with Strategic Advisor to identify cadence and realign strategy for work plan as business needs change.
- Develops working knowledge of client’s operations, processes, and financial drivers.
- Partners with Strategic Advisor as appropriate to identify and monitor alignment of project performance and client financial and operational drivers.
- Gains familiarity with client’s industry, with awareness of key internal and external client dynamics and potential impacts to the project.
- Delivers clear and timely performance feedback (verbal and written) to project teams and individuals.
- Collaborates with Mosaic Manager to identify team members’ strengths and areas of improvement.
- Participates in formal employee performance feedback process, including performance improvement plans.
- Manages onboarding and roll-off for project team members.
- Partners with Strategic Advisor to manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Coaches, mentors, and encourages project team members to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Partners with department leadership to manage and resolve team conflicts.
- Partner with Strategic Advisor to establish and execute a communication/escalation plan that informs the client, Mosaic, and stakeholders in a timely manner of events and issues that concern them.
- Collaborates with third-party vendors and client executives to meet project goals.
- Maintains and enforces team responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Allocates work to increase efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Leverages information from the Statement of Work to build a project plan and related project documentation using Mosaic PMO Center of Excellence processes and tools.
- Develops project plan with defined deliverables, co-dependencies, milestones, level of effort, and resources.
- Manages project plan in alignment with scope, timeline, and budget outlined in the Statement of Work.
- Partners with department leadership to establish project health indicators at a program level.
- Partners with Project Controller (as appropriate) to maintain weekly project reports for internal and client status meetings.
- Uses metrics to identify process improvements that increase efficiency and performance.
- Applies data from project health indicators to simulate options and drive decisions regarding adjustments to project plan and resourcing.
- Allocates and assigns work to team members based on skills and project schedule.
- Leads project planning sessions.
- Collaborates with department leadership to coordinate project resources.
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
- Completes project closeout by gathering lessons learned, finalizing all information needed to invoice, and ensuring project is closed.
- Uses Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio (or other similar tools) to prepare presentations for various audiences (SMEs, students, internal/external stakeholders).
- Uses MS Project to accurately forecast and manage project resources and logistics.
- Designs templates in Microsoft Office programs.
- Troubleshoots formatting and design issues in Microsoft Office programs.
- Manages all aspects of the project team site (i.e., ensures version control, appropriate nomenclature, systematic archiving, etc.).

- Demonstrated track record of success leading/managing small projects or workstreams.
- Demonstrated success managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including timeline, budget, and scope.
- Demonstrated success managing day-to-day client interactions, including managing relationships and resolving any project issues.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Strong documentation and data collection skills.
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
- Ability to successfully operate in an ambiguous environment and solve problems creatively.
- Ability to and/or familiarity with using project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate to ensure team success.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills; ability to be resourceful and effectively perform under pressure.
- Experience with projects through the full life cycle with a proven ability to complete projects/workstreams according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

The compensation range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making hiring and compensation decisions. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Mosaic strives to set salaries at, or near the 50th percentile (midpoint) of the range and it is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range for the position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $130,000.00 to $150,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program of up to 8% of annual compensation. The bonus program is dependent on a variety of factors including organizational and individual performance.
