Project Manager

Overview:

Storagenergy is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. Storagenergy is a dynamic and collaborative environment, working to develop and commercialize next-generation technologies for electrochemical energy storage and power generation. We are currently seeking a self-driven leader who will manage research projects, lead grant writing activities, and IP generation. Applicants should thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a passion for maturing technologies from fundamental science towards commercial products.

Job Duties:

- Plan and oversee R&D activities in electrochemical energy storage, including batteries, fuel cells, and critical material production.

- Document and communicate progress by preparing clear reports and presenting technical challenges and outcomes to diverse internal and external stakeholders.

- Engage with funding agencies and customers by preparing technical reports, leading meetings, and gathering feedback to guide future technology development.

- Drive funding opportunities by identifying grants, developing competitive proposals, and leveraging professional networks to build collaborative project teams.

- Collaborate with company leadership. Work directly with the CTO to identify strategic priorities and support the company’s long-term vision.

Desired Qualifications / Experience:

- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or related fields.

- At least 5-10 years of experience in the material/battery industry.

- Experience with project management is required

- Experience with grant or other funding applications is required

- Strong fundamental and applied knowledge and understanding of electrochemical energy storage devices, including operation principles, production methods, performance, and degradation pathways

- Demonstrated capability of designing experiments to enable clear results that drive decisions in an industrial R&D environment

- Experience related to other electrochemical devices is a plus

- Experience with patent preparation is strongly desired

Base Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
