This position exists primarily to represent the district’s interest in the development and implementation of Capital Improvement Projects. Responsibilities will include development and review of project scope, specifications, and plans for assigned projects. The Project Manager (PM) will also be responsible for ensuring identification of consultants to assist in the development of project plans and specifications, coordinating the districts bidding process, and evaluating the contractor’s performance related to assigned projects.
- Coordinate the development of the scope of work for assigned projects.
- Review project plans, schedules, and specifications and prepare recommendation to supervisor.
- Project management: conducts on-site assessments to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget.
- Leads engagement with various stakeholders regarding capital planning proposals and/or projects.
- Develop necessary documents and correspondence related to assigned projects.
- To work collaboratively with other departments in the development of required RFPs and/or contracts as identi?ed in district policy and procedures.
- Identify and prioritize time allotment to each assigned project to ensure an efficient implementation process for each assigned project.
- Coordinate all required inspections, documentation and reporting related to assigned projects.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of developments within the professional field.
To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction, Engineering or related field.
Five (5) years’ experience in the construction industry.
High level of competency in oral and written communication skills.

Prior experience in K-12 capital project management
