Greenskies is seeking a Construction Manager (CM) specializing in distributed generation scale ground mount solar and energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with and knowledge of all EPC aspects and requirements of medium voltage interconnection renewable energy assets. The CM will have adept organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, computer and software abilities, and related field experience. The CM will drive results and own all EPC-related project duties. This position is predominantly office based and duties include coordination with engineering, procurement, field staff, installers, vendors, customers, and operations & maintenance. This role reports to the Vice President of Construction.
Duties and Responsibilities
will include, but are not limited to
:- Own and maintain installer subcontractor relationship and enforce installation agreements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Review and approve invoices.
- Understand and comply with local, state, and utility regulations, as well as contractual and financing requirements.
- Understand project plans, perform material quantity take-offs (as needed), order materials.
- Coordinate internal and external field personnel.
- Visit job sites as required.
- Have knowledge of OSHA and local safety requirements including job hazard analyses and site-specific health and safety plans.
- Update project schedule and budget in project tracking software.
- Provide weekly and/or monthly project updates internally as well as externally for clients (as needed).
- Submittal and RFI submission management, and coordination meetings between stakeholders.
- Oversee commissioning process while troubleshooting startup / operational issues with assistance from other departments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Environmental Studies, or equivalent.
- At least 4 years’ experience in project management (clean energy project management highly preferred)
- Sufficient communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in computer software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, and project management-specific software (Procore).
