Job Title: Project Manager – Residential & Light Commercial Construction

We're looking for a hands-on Project Manager who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and is deeply committed to quality and efficiency.
Role Overview:
The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of assigned construction projects: from planning and permitting through punch list and closeout. You’ll work closely with the principal, clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and be expected to manage multiple small-to-medium-sized projects simultaneously. In a small firm environment, this role includes both strategic oversight and day-to-day site involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and manage construction projects (mostly residential, some commercial) from concept to completion.
•Coordinate schedules, subcontractors, inspections, and deliveries to maintain project flow.
•Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
•Track project budgets and manage cost control, change orders, and client billing.
•Serve as daily point of contact for clients, consultants, and town officials.
•Lead weekly on-site meetings with trades and owners.
•Maintain detailed records, photos, and project logs.
•Occasionally assist with estimating and bidding on new work.
Required Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in residential construction management or general contracting.
•Familiarity with Connecticut building codes and permitting processes (especially in Fairfield County).
•Strong scheduling, budgeting, and organizational skills.
•Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or Excel-based tracking).
•Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
•Hands-on mindset — willing to jump in and troubleshoot on-site when needed.
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•Strong communication and leadership skills.
•Understanding of construction processes, local building codes, and OSHA requirements.
Salary & Compensation (Westport, CT Market):
•Base Salary: $50,000 annually, but open to discussion based on experience
•Bonuses/Profit Share: Performance-based bonuses tied to project delivery and company profit.
