Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Expeditor to support our energy infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate project activities, ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, and facilitate communication among various teams. This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The Project Expeditor will play a critical role in maintaining project schedules, resolving logistical issues, and supporting the overall success of infrastructure development initiatives.
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment in alignment with project schedules
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Material Status Reports for internal project teams
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve potential quality, delivery, or compliance issues
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with Purchase Order (PO) terms and conditions
- Obtain, document, and communicate weekly status updates from vendors on critical items
- Record vendor communications, meetings, and outcomes in accordance with established procedures
- Collaborate with Material Coordinators to track and document material receipts at project sites
- Communicate critical status updates between suppliers, Buyers, Project Managers, and Supply Chain teams
- Coordinate third-party inspections as required
- Oversee shipping, logistics, and delivery activities
- Organize early supplier planning meetings for critical equipment and long-lead items
- Ensure timely reporting of shipping delays or schedule impacts
- Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant operations is a plus, demonstrating strong customer service and communication skills
- Kitchen or food preparation experience can be beneficial for understanding operational workflows
- Experience in banquet service, bussing, cooking, or hospitality environments helps develop multitasking abilities and attention to detail
- Background in food handling or food safety is advantageous for roles involving compliance standards
- Hotel or culinary experience can enhance organizational skills and customer-focused approach
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and vendors is essential
- Familiarity with project coordination or expediting in a construction or energy infrastructure setting is preferred but not required
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Expeditor within the oil and gas, energy, or industrial infrastructure sector
- Proven experience with project expediting and supply chain coordination
- Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills
