Scope (Purpose)

The Program Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of Conexus’ Supply Chain, Obsolescence and Procurement (SCOP) Program, Technical Program, and the CANDU Industry Assessment Committee (CANIAC) Program. This role plays a key part in ensuring these programs align with organizational priorities, foster cross-functional collaboration, and deliver measurable outcomes. The Program Manager will oversee program strategy, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and operational execution, while ensuring adherence to organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead SCOP, Technical, and CANIAC programs, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for program initiatives.

- Track program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery .

- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and quality standards, providing regular program updates and reporting to senior leadership.


General Responsibilities

- Define program scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute program activities effectively.

- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver program milestones on time.

- Prepare and present reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external audiences.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

- Support the development of policies, procedures, and standards for program management.

- Act as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries and issue resolution.

- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and industry engagements to advance program objectives.

- Ensure accurate documentation of program activities, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing.


Requirements

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

- Project management certification such as PMP or PgMP is preferred

- ISO 9001 or NQA-1 Lead Auditor training is an asset for CANIAC program involvement

- Strong knowledge of CANDU nuclear power plant design and operation

- Knowledge of obsolescence management, engineering change controls, and nuclear component procurement

- Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and Canadian/International standards (CSA N299, N286, N286.7; ASME NQA-1, ASME BPV Code Section III: Subsection NCA)

- Familiarity with auditing management systems (ISO 19011)

- Knowledge of project management methods, procedures, and organizational structures

- Familiarity with CANDU NPPs, major suppliers, and nuclear organizations in Canada

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering or procurement project management within a nuclear utility or engineering organization

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct or supportive audit functions for oversight of the CANIAC program

- Demonstrated understanding of the inter-relationships among internal and external groups involved in the design, engineering, operation, maintenance, and supply chain activities associated with nuclear generating stations

- Technical Knowledge : In-depth understanding of nuclear engineering, supply chain, obsolescence management, and quality assurance standards.

- Communication & Reporting : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting program progress, presenting updates, and facilitating meetings.

- Governance & Compliance : Knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit principles, and organizational policies relevant to nuclear programs.


Success Indicators/KPI’s

- Successful delivery of SCOP, Technical, and CANIAC program objectives on time and within budget.

- Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, resulting in strong program support and engagement.

- Timely identification and mitigation of program risks and issues, minimizing disruptions.

- High-quality program documentation, knowledge transfer, and compliance with governance standards.

- Positive feedback from leadership, project teams, and stakeholders on program execution and management.

- Continuous improvement in processes, tools, and workflows across the programs.

- Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive and high-performing team environment.

Work Environment

This role is based at the Conexus office in Toronto with the opportunity to work remotely 1-3 days per week.
