Mako Industries is hiring a Commercial Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations for commercial plumbing projects and service calls. This role ensures efficient scheduling, high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, team leadership, and financial performance. The Service Manager acts as the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and company leadership.
- Manage and coordinate commercial plumbing service operations, including emergency, preventive, and corrective service work
- Schedule, dispatch, and supervise service technicians to ensure timely and efficient job completion
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company quality standards
- Review work orders, service reports, and job documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate commercial service plumbers and apprentice plumbers
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and corrective actions as needed
- Promote a strong safety culture and enforce company policies and procedures
- Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial clients
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service escalations professionally
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with property managers, facility managers, and contractors
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Monitor service department performance, productivity, and profitability
- Review estimates, pricing, change orders, and invoices
- Control labor, material, and equipment costs within budget
- Track KPIs and prepare reports for management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, plumbing codes, and company safety policies
- Conduct safety meetings and job site inspections
- Maintain proper licensing, certifications, and documentation- 7+ years of experience in commercial plumbing, with supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and service operations
- Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and service documentation
- Proficient with service management software and basic computer applications
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license (or ability to get a Master Plumber license)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Backflow, medical gas, or other relevant certifications
- Ability to visit job sites and work in commercial environments
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
