The Petroleum Data Engineer will utilize their technical expertise to develop, optimize, and maintain databases, enhancing the efficiency of our Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) group. This role involves integrating existing data systems, evaluating well productivity, and engineering IOR jobs to meet client specifications. The Petroleum Data Engineer will also consult with stakeholders to develop targeted solutions and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all data and analyses.
- Utilize technical expertise to support the IOR group's evolving needs.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain databases to enhance laboratory workflows and overall group efficiency.
- Integrate existing internal and external data systems to streamline operations.
- Evaluate client well productivity using accepted scientific methods to quantify IOR job outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engineer IOR jobs according to client specifications to ensure safe and successful operational execution.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and develop targeted solutions.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all internal and external data and analyses.

- Strong understanding of database development, optimization, and maintenance.
- Ability to evaluate well productivity using scientific methods and identify operational or technical improvements.
- Experience in engineering IOR jobs to client specifications, ensuring operational safety and success.
- Proficiency in integrating various data systems to support operational efficiency.

- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related role within the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with EOR processes and methodologies, as well as data analysis tools and techniques.
- Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
