We are currently hiring for the role of Payroll Analyst in our Calgary Office.
Under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor, the payroll analyst ensures accurate and timely preparation and execution of Canadian and USA payroll by managing and facilitating employee payroll in the organization.
- Administer Bi-weekly Canada and US payroll on multiple pay platforms within ADP.
- Accurately review and process payroll in accordance with the company and regulatory requirements including Year End Process, T4’s and taxable benefit reporting.
- Input, verify and process payroll.
- Verify completed payrolls and review reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the payroll function within the company and respond to employee and department inquiries as they relate to payroll.
- Ensure accurate tax payment for all payroll activities and maintain a thorough understanding of statutory requirements for all federal and provincial tax agencies.
- Handling all payroll-related documentation and providing the management team or auditors with these reports on request.
- Ensure the company adheres to all federal and provincial laws, including tax laws, minimum wage regulations, and overtime compensation laws.
- Minimum three years of applicable experience.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or work in progress is required.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and accompanying reports.
- Experience using external payroll system (Kronos, SL would be an asset)
- Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage payroll issues within Canadian and USA jurisdictions.
- Strong communication skills, well-developed problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and with a team in a high confidential environment.
