The Opportunity JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you looking to take the next step in your accounting career? We have an opportunity for you to join our industry leading Conventional Payables Attesting group where you will apply your accounts payable knowledge and well-developed communication skills while developing your knowledge of oil and gas drilling, completions, and abandonment activities. As a highly analytical problem solver, you will provide prompt, complete, relevant and accurate review of vendor invoices. Your ability to resolve issues and work toward resolution with multiple stakeholders will contribute to your success in this role.
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 5x2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
- Application deadline: August 14, 2025
- Validate vendor invoices to ensure charges reconcile to internal cost estimates, associated contracts, and approved pricing lists
- Work with vendors to resolve disputes and update pricing lists
- Monitor outstanding invoice counts and payment terms (KPIs)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal departments
- Post-Secondary education in Accounting, Business or other related experience.
- Knowledge of oil and gas accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
