Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support the overall operations of our organization. This role involves physical work, adaptability to different tasks, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- General Labor: Engage in various physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials, digging, lifting, and carrying items as required.

- Site Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment by performing tasks such as sweeping, debris removal, and basic facility upkeep.

- Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for upkeep of machines and equipment, as well as follow safe work practices. Should have an understanding of all locations of the plant and a basic knowledge of preventive maintenance.

- Assistance to Skilled Workers: Support skilled tradespeople and operators in their tasks, providing assistance as needed.

- Leadership: Ability to train lower level operators with advancement in trouble shooting processes.

- Equipment Operation: Operate basic tools and equipment, such as shovels, wheelbarrows, and power tools, as required for specific tasks as well as skid steer, manlift, telehandler and track hoe.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any safety concerns promptly.

- Communication: Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that may arise.

Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.

- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role is beneficial but not mandatory.

- Basic knowledge of occupational safety practices.

- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.

- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and responsibilities.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
