Operations Professional-Training

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Operations Professional-Training opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Work Location: Aiken, SC

Operations Professional-Training:

The Operations Professional-Training and implementing small integrated operations support teams that also include a graded approach to Project Management Principles for maintenance activities. They will have a strong focus on construction assessments and are familiar with support project installation activities, technical compliance, and safety standards.

Duties:

- Integrate with the support organization and operations to ensure a quality product is developed and delivered to Training for ProOperations to execute the mission scope.

- Team size will be dependent upon the size of the project, facility(s) or organization being supported.

- Work closely with the Safety Basis Group to assist in developing requirements that are more in line with operations and ensure Technical Specification Requirements (TSRs) are adequately implemented.

- Ensure adequate qualifications of operations personnel and ensure continuing training is effective and develop training staff and operations supervision with advanced continuous training.

- Work with procedures to ensure appropriate quality of procedures, appropriate implementation of design basis and key requirements and ensure procedures are workable and followed in the field.

- Provide oversight of field activities identifying deficiencies and leading methods to correct those deficiencies.

- Prepare and participate in readiness reviews.

- Provide disciplined operations principles to support and project activities.

- Identify weaknesses of a lack of integration or difficulties in support of organizations assisting operations.

- Perform comprehensive maintenance assessments to ensure project alignment with safety, quality, and technical requirements.

- Conduct field observations and evaluations to verify construction activities comply with design specifications and work control processes.

- Apply knowledge of Hazardous Energy Control Processes, including OSHA Hazardous Energy Standards, to promote and enforce job site safety.

- Review and interpret Technical Work Documents (TWDs) associated with project installations.

- Utilize Engineering Guides to support construction planning, implementation, and evaluation activities.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and safety professionals to identify and mitigate construction-related risks.

- Maintain documentation of assessments, evaluations, and compliance checks for reporting and continuous improvement.

Skills/Experience:

- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with all aspects of the operation of high hazard and complex facilities to DOE Order 422.1 requirements, including five (5) years of such experience at a DOE facility.

- Proven experience in construction field assessments, evaluations, or related fieldwork.

- Familiarity with OSHA Hazardous Energy Control standards and related safety practices.

- Working knowledge of Technical Work Documents and Engineering Guides used in construction project environments.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field setting.

Other Job Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Prior experience or familiarity with Savannah River Site (SRS) policies and procedures supporting construction and/or maintenance activities.
