Nhwelmen Construction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate day-to-day construction operations across multiple heavy civil projects. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this key leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all field operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- $160,000 to $190,000 per annum, based on experience

- Oversee daily field operations across multiple project sites to ensure performance, productivity, and safety targets are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, supervisors, and crews to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation; identify and mitigate potential delays or issues.
- Implement and maintain operational best practices and quality standards.
- Ensure all projects comply with company safety policies and government regulations.
- Support workforce planning, including hiring, training, and performance management of field personnel.
- Work closely with the General Manager on strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to maintain quality and adherence to timelines.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment on project progress and deliverables.- 8+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership or operations management role.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with project management software and construction documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
Location: This position will be based out of the Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia.
