Non-Destructive Testing Assistant/Trainee NDT

Candidate must live in Pittsburgh, PA or within a 2 hour radius.

Steel City NDT LLC, based out of Pittsburgh, PA, is looking for ASNT-TC-1A NDT Trainee to learn inspection techniques and eventually become a Level II in Dye Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Visual Testing (VT). Steel City NDT LLC will not pay for relocation costs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Level II, you will:

- Perform a variety NDT inspection techniques

- Read and comprehend drawings, designs, and specifications for parts to be inspected

- Determine equipment required for inspections

- Analyze and interpret indications of flaws, defects, and discontinuities

- Record inspection results manually later to be entered into a report

Required Education/Experience/Documentation:

- High school diploma or GED is required

- Must have valid driver’s license with a working vehicle to travel to job sites

- Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills

- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Mainly Word and Excel)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
