- Start date: June/July 2026 to September/October 2026
- The Ampjack Corrosion Division is looking for motivated Corrosion Technicians to join our team in the field testing of electrical transmission structures with corrosion damage. We are looking to hire 2-3 field inspectors for an upcoming corrosion inspection project in the Northwest Territories.
- The applicant must have a NACE CP Level 1 (or higher) certification.
Include completing field tests related to the assessment of corrosion on steel, soil resistivity testing, current testing, in-field data entry using handheld device and our data recording software, capturing photographic records of site conditions and observations, daily communication and reporting to the project team, following established and communicated safety standards, and operating vehicles (3/4-1 ton crew truck, UTV).
- Be legally permitted to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Driver’s License of class 5 or greater
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Travel within Canada and work away from home for periods of time
- Be physically capable of walking up/down steep slopes, working outdoors and be able to carry 50lbs.
- Be capable of working cooperatively with others and in a team setting
The following experience/knowledge would be an asset:
- Field testing experience in the assessment of corrosion of steel
- Experience working in remote areas
- Experience operating Trucks and UTVs.
Location of the work will be based out of Hay River and/or Fort Smith, NT
Term of Employment and Hours of Work
Approximately 3-4 months (exact completion date to be confirmed)
- Typical workdays are Monday through Saturday, 6:30am-6:30pm (approx. 72 hours/week)
