Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG / TIG WELDER to join our dynamic fabrication and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in both MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding will be essential in producing durable, reliable structures and assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from sheet metal fabrication to complex pipe welding, contributing directly to our company's reputation for excellence.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials including sheet metal, pipe, and ductwork, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to prepare materials for welding.
- Measure components with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit-up and alignment.
- Execute welding tasks in accordance with ASME codes & standards and company safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using visual checks and basic math calculations.
- Assist with rigging, assembly, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and other mechanical tasks as needed during fabrication projects.
- Proven experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction and manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with construction site environments and safety practices in industrial settings.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, plasma cutters, forklifts, and other fabrication equipment safely.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, assembly processes, and schematics interpretation.
- Competence in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools for quality control.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication specifications.
- Experience with rigging procedures and crane operations is a plus.
