Welding procedures and techniques as specified in blueprints and specifications.
Use welding equipment and tools for planning, layout, and preparation of welding procedures, considering the structural characteristics of materials being welded.
Select type and grade of electrodes or other filler metals, operating conditions, and equipment settings such as current density or arc voltage.
Understands different types of welding processes and procedures; be knowledgeable of commonly used symbols, terms, and definitions.
Be able to explain weld-related safety rules, regulations, practices, and hazards.
Use mathematical formulas related to welding to solve problems; read blueprints; interpret specifications.
Be able to lay out weld joints; file blueprints; lay out ground wire; plan weld path; layout welds on structural members
2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 1:30am
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and tooling
