Metal Fabricator

The Stresco Group is seeking a metal fabricator at our shop in Nappanee, Indiana.

You must be a self-starter who can follow work orders, prioritize tasks and finish daily/weekly jobs with minimal oversight. The majority of your time will be spent operating press brakes. You should be able to read a blueprint and form the part to the indicated specifications, hold tolerances, and problem solve or make machine adjustments as needed. Our shop does mostly short-run production, but custom fabrication work will be intermittently scheduled as well.

The ideal candidate has excellent time management and eagerness to pitch in when needed around the shop. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

· Run daily production using various fabrication equipment such as press brake, punch, grinder, shear, band saw, and roller as needed to maintain inventory levels

· Read blueprints and regularly check parts for accuracy

· Assist other operators with offloading, deburring and grinding parts as needed

· Occasional assembly, painting and maintenance duties as needed

Job requirements:

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to lift 50+ lbs. at a time

· Forklift driving experience a plus

· Must be able to bend, lift and stand most of the day

· Maintain a safe and clean work area, and ensure all tooling and instruments are properly stored each day
