As a Mechanical Technician with Ashtead Technology in Houston, you’ll be at the heart of our operations - keeping our equipment running safely, reliably, and ready for rental. You’ll tackle everything from diagnostics and rebuilds to offshore support, making a real impact every single day.
- Preparing, inspecting, and testing equipment for hire to ensure it’s fully functional, compliant, and professionally presented.
- Troubleshooting faults and carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Off-hiring and testing equipment returned from hire, identifying and documenting any damage or missing items and completing work orders and maintenance records accurately in the ERP system.
- Packaging, securing, and storing equipment safely for transport and deployment.
- Operating vehicles and equipment for diagnostic, delivery, and support purposes.
- Providing on-call support on a rotational basis and travelling offshore or dockside to support client requirements when needed.
- Qualification in Mechanical/Hydraulics or other similar technical discipline and/or equivalent
industry experience.
- Track record of experience in a Mechanical role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of
mechanical equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance/service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem solving capabilities.
- Some offshore experience is beneficial.
