Mechanical Engineer

Juniper Industries, a leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and watertight/ballistic closures for ships, is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer for a challenging position designing and supporting manufacturing of multicomponent mechanical assemblies- DFM/DFA. The right candidate will have the skills to focus on structural analysis, manufacturing design, and production feasibility. The role involves intimate involvement in all aspects of product development including design, manufacture, testing, and quality compliance.

Job Responsibilities: Design and Development of Multicomponent Mechanical Assemblies

Job Duties:

- Create new designs that leverage Juniper Industries’ 90+ years of experience

- Develop manufacturing methods, test fixtures, and test plans that are compatible with in house manufacturing.

- Perform detailed structural analysis calculations in support of design requirements

- Support Manufacturing and Quality Control

- Involved in various continuous improvement projects

Qualifications:

- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- 5+ years’ experience desired but all relevant experience considered

- AutoCad and Inventor or other 3D Modeling Software

- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

- Previous metal fabrication experience a plus!

- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
