Alpine SnowGuards is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer
to join our Engineering Group. This is a full-time, exempt position that will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be a key resource responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring maximum operational uptime, and developing robust manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality protocols.
This role requires a versatile engineer capable of bridging the gap between design, production, maintenance, and quality assurance, applying technical expertise to solve complex problems and drive efficiency and cost savings.
The Manufacturing Engineer's primary duties will encompass three critical areas:
- Lead and execute process improvement projects utilizing
Lean Manufacturing
and/or
Six Sigma
principles (e.g., Kaizen events, value stream mapping) to optimize manufacturing efficiency, quality, and reduce cost.
- Analyze current production methods and data (scrap rates, cycle times, yield) to identify and implement areas for continuous improvement.
- Develop, justify, and manage capital projects for new equipment purchases or facility upgrades.
- Lead and perform scheduled
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
and calibration on critical manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure maximum operational uptime.
- Program and/or troubleshoot
CNC milling equipment
and other automated machinery (e.g., PLCs, robotics) to support production.
- Design, develop, and implement new and revised manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and tooling/fixturing.
- Create and revise technical drawings, specifications, and CAD illustrations (2D and 3D) to support manufacturing and product documentation.
- Develop and execute product testing protocols for
Quality Assurance (QA)
and product development, documenting results in detailed test reports.
- Provide timely and accurate technical support to Sales, Customer Service, and shop floor personnel.
The anticipated pay for this position will be between $75,000 and $102,000, depending on applicable qualifications and experience.
