- Designing and developing innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Determine project scope and design/acquire the necessary materials for implementation.
- Provide technical support for maintenance and operations and aid in troubleshooting systems.
- Work with engineering team on larger capital projects.
- Development and/or improvement of production and maintenance methods and processes.
- Aid maintenance in troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Manage contractors as required for project completion.
- Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, and report regularly to project manager to keep them informed of job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering OR equivalent work experience as an engineering technician.
- 2+ years of experience OR 5+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.- Proven computer platform experience.
- Strong field experience with a focus of troubleshooting and hands-on approach.
- Strong working knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Circuit Design.
- Experience with machine design using electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
