Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Our relay settings group provides entire spectrum of services from standard development and relay testing to full cycle major brown field projects. Majority of the responsibilities will include developing relay logic to specifications, lab testing as needed, and producing relay settings for variety of assets.

Applicants for this position should have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in most of the following areas:

• Ability to read, understand, edit and develop variety of custom logic (.rdb).

• Experience developing logic diagrams for SEL relays for various applications

• Transmission line relay settings (overcurrent, distance, pilot schemes, 87L)

• Bus, Transformer, Cap Bank relay settings.

• Experience with testing relays using omicron, dobble or AMS test sets.

• Direct experience with configuring and providing relay settings for SEL (accelerator) and GE (EnerVista).

• CYME coordination experience (CAPE/Aspen)

• Experience with variety of applications: Line protection, Bus protection, Transformer protection, Cap bank and Reactor protection etc.

• Familiarity with protection and control drawings such as one lines, relay and control schematics.

Additional experience that would be a plus but not required as follows:

• Experience with relays other than SEL such as (Bassler, ABB, Siemens etc.)

• SCADA Programming, HMI, Automation, Orion LX /Novatech, DNP and other protocols

• 61850 Goose messaging
