Mechanical Designer, Mechanical Design Technologist - Intermediate to Senior Level

We are currently looking for an intermediate-level Mechanical Designer or a Mechanical Design Technologist to join our team in Calgary, AB.

The company activities include engineering, design, and technology development in the following areas:

- Bulk materials handling,

- Mine tailings reclaim and processing,

- Environmental,

- General design, engineering, optimization and troubleshooting of mechanical installations.

The selected candidate will be working closely with the lead engineer and the rest of the design team to:

· Develop layouts and designs for mechanical installations.

· Participate in preparation and review of project design documentation.

· Assist with selection and sizing of components.

· Facilitate design reviews.

· Prepare packages for fabrication and site construction of project installations.

· Have proficiency using CAD software packages including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

· Strong knowledge of design drafting standards and procedures is a must.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Five years of related work experience is desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
