What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

- Performs non-routine and varied engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.

- Receives minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions.

- Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.

- Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications.

- Continues to develop knowledge of organization processes and customers.

- Works on special projects, as directed.

- Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

- Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.

- Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.

- Project Engineering or Design Team Lead Experience.

- OPG/BP Engineering Change Control (ECC) experience.

- Experience performing Engineering Design or Analysis (e.g. stress calculation, flow calculations, and safety analysis).

- Fire Protection and NFPA codes.

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Engineering

- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.

- Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License (P. Eng.).

- Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.

- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.

- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.

- Displays informal leadership characteristics.

- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking.

- Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.

Total Rewards Package

- Salary: $90,000 - $122,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
