Mechanic - Pleasanton

Downhole Chemical Solutions is an oilfield chemical company based throughout Texas, focused on providing premium frac’ chemicals with our innovative technology and equipment. The Mechanic will provide support for DCS’s field operations and assist in the growth of their completions chemical program. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, and eager to grow.

Pay:

$26 - $34 per hour

Schedule:

2 weeks on, 1 week off for all basins

On call, Overtime

Location:

In person (stationed in Pleasanton) Must be able to commute daily

General Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to work under pressure in oilfield environments

Willingness to travel as needed to support DCS’s operations in East, West, and South Texas (at least 50% of the time)

Must be self-motivated, and able to work autonomously alongside field personnel and engineers, as well as within a team-based setting

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Strong emphasis on innovation in both technology and operations

Responsibilities & Expectations

Complete work orders according to priority

Have good communication with managers and remote ops center regarding assignments and conflicts

Maintain and repair machinery (such as: generators, pumps, A/Cs, compressors, trailer structure, tractor engines, brakes, suspension, etc.)

Experience

1-2 years in a mechanic related field OR a 2-year degree in a related field from a technical college

Diesel engine repair: 2 years (Required)

Tractor-trailer mechanic: 2 years (Required)

Desired Skills

Diesel mechanic certification

A/C technician certification (608 or 609)

Strong communication skills

Computer literacy

Working understanding of frac operations

Highly autonomous work schedule
